To find the relationship between two individuals: 1) Start with a common ancestor. 2) Find the relationship of individual "A" to the common ancestor along the top of the chart. 3) Find the relationship of individual “B” to the common ancestor along the left side of the chart. 4) Follow both lines to the intersection to find their relationship. For example: If “A” is the 4x Great Grand Child of the common ancestor and “B” is the 2x Great Grand Child, then the relationship is Third Cousin 2x Removed.
